THE DRIVERS

Lando Norris

A gifted karter, Lando Norris remains the youngest driver to ever set a pole position at a national meeting. In 2016, he graduated to single-seaters and won a slew of championships. Lando became the official test and reserve driver for McLaren in 2018, as well as making his debut in F2 with Carlin Racing.

His progression towards F1 continued when he enjoyed impressive FP1 outings in Belgium and Italy. In his second full season with Team McLaren, Lando ran 17 races, earning his maiden Formula 1 podium at the Australian Grand Prix and helping the team clinch P3 in the Constructors' Championship.

Daniel Ricciardo

Born in Perth, Australia in 1989, Daniel started karting when he was only nine years old, upon finding a hero in Ayrton Senna. After working his way through the go-kart ranks, in 2005 he entered the Australian Formula Ford series and, although driving an uncompetitive car, made enough of an impression to secure a scholarship for the following season’s Formula BMW Asia championship.

In his breakthrough 2014 season, he won his first Grand Prix (and two more). Now, with a stellar record that includes 29 podium appearances and 7 wins, we are delighted to welcome him to the McLaren team for a winning 2021 season.
